The Biomimetic shelter project is designed to accommodate the need for a shading element. The main idea was mimicked from the human hand skeletal structure. Since the elementary reflex of a human when subjected to a bothersome situation is using the hands to shelter and protect, this project is mimicking the structure of the human skeletal system, in particular the hand. As all of the bones regardless of their mass are proportioned following the Fibonacci sequence, the various movements of the hand and spreading creates an optimum space for a shading element which stand to reason this bio-mimicry. Although the composite acts as a shading element, the overall well structured design could be used as an inspiration created from the human body adding an artistic value to its surrounding.
