Gold in Olivetti showroom     is
Gold is the component in the space that ties all meanings and details; gold is the definition of the vertical and horizontal planes, it frames the fragmented spaces that Scarpa envisioned in the interior and ties them together, it integrates the Venetian language and brings in the golden cloisters of Venice in to the space. Gold is the treatment and structural support to all materials used in the space, it shows their limits and unfinished beauty. Gold is the byzantine school, Venetian art and Japanese influences that Scarpa illustrated, gold is the DEFIANT CLASSIC IN THE PROJECT
